end of January pictures

After the inspector came and gave the go ahead for the insulation, they went on to put insulation and drywall on the ceiling in the top level of the house. It's exciting to see the house come along on the outside and now on the inside. This next week insulation will go in the walls on the top level and then drywall will go up.

January

Here are pictures of part of the infloor heating system. We're getting close to being able to hook up the geothermal system, which will be nice...since it's been -40 degrees (with windchill) lately. Other pictures are of the heating duct and pipes to hold the cable of internet/phone/cable. We have recessed lights downstairs that are in and working.

Back tracking a bit

I almost forgot to put up the pictures of the siding! Before they moved inside to work on electrical they did put up the siding around the house. They did work on this quickly, as they did not want to be putting it up in the cold...the siding becomes so brittle in the cold. and harder to work with. It was amazing to see this go up...when it was finished it was really neat to drive up and see that it actually looked like a house that someone could live in.....far from that point, however, as much work needs to be done on the inside.

It's been awhile, time to update

Sorry it's been so long~ the time has certainly gone by fast! These are pictures of the holding tank going in. Also pictures of our doors and the bow window. After that was done PJ began working on the wiring and lighting. The wiring and lighting took a long time to finish...a lot of little things to get done....electrical boxes, etc. We're happy to report that just recently (couple weeks ago) the inspector came and looked at the wiring and the plumbing and approved for us to move forward and put up insulation.
