Finishing up the tile

The top two pictures are of the finished tile in the laundry room. It is grouted and sealed and tomorrow will be ready (if there's time) to get some trim and have the sink and appliances set into place. The third picture is of tile in our garage entry way. This has not been grouted as there is some question as to where the tile needs to end as far as the doorway is concerned. Once that if figured out, the remaining tile will be cut for the very end of the hallway and grout will be placed and sealed. By the way...did you know that grout, when wet and not sealed, will eat through skin? We didn't know that, but PJ found it out the hard way, as his finger started hurting, then bleeding just a bit....he then put on gloves! I learned something new, I didn't know that about grout.
So, the last two pictures are of the tile in the main entry way. This tile is also grouted and sealed. The last of the tile is in the bathroom. It is grouted, but not sealed....and I just realized I didn't get a picture, and I thought I had. I will have to post more pictures later!

Pictures of Laminate floors in kitchen/dining area

Above are pictures of the laminate flooring that PJ put in after countertops were cut and moved into place. (The countertops are where they should be, but not yet glued/secured.) At this point we will wait until the countertop is cut one last time for a spot for the kitchen sink. Once that is done, the rest of the laminate will be placed and we should be all set for trim and then appliances to go in. The laminate was pretty easy to set into place. Also, once the laminate is finished we can cut it and figure out how much and where the carpet will go.
Also, in the very first picture, if you look through the patio doors, you will see that the deck is finished. I will post more pictures of that later. Much work was done by Phil, PJ and Mindy to complete the deck. Ben has decided that his new favorite game while over at the new house is to find something (sometimes one of daddy's tools), and watch it drop over the edge. It was funny to watch because it was a little frustrating at first because he tried to squeeze his head between the bars. The code(rules) say that bars/railings can NOT be wide enough for children to fit their heads through....good idea. But then Ben figured out that if he stepped up onto the bottom of the railing he reached just high enough to get his little head over just enough to see his item fall and hit the ground. Then he runs out the front door and down around the house to grab his item and go back and do it again. Kids....they're so funny!
